King Tides Tech values our customers and stands behind our work. This policy explains how refunds and returns work for products and services purchased through kingtidestech.com or in person.

Physical Products
We offer a 14-day return window on physical products (cables, accessories, peripherals, and other hardware sold through our shop), starting from the date you receive your order.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- In the same condition you received it
- Unused, with all original packaging, tags, and accessories
- Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
Items that cannot be returned:
- Opened software, digital downloads, or activated licenses
- Special-order or custom-configured items
- Items damaged by misuse, accident, or normal wear
- Any item returned more than 14 days after delivery
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Exception: If a product arrives defective or damaged, or if we sent the wrong item, contact us within 14 days and we will cover return shipping and send a replacement or issue a full refund.
Local customers are welcome to return items in person by appointment — just contact us to arrange a time and save the shipping cost.
Services (Repairs, Remote Support, Setup Work)
All completed services are final sale and non-refundable.
When you hire us for a repair, remote support session, or setup work, you are paying for our time and expertise. Once the work has been performed, service fees cannot be refunded — regardless of the outcome.
What this means in practice:
- If we diagnose your device and you decide not to proceed with the repair, the diagnostic fee still applies.
- If a repair is completed successfully, the service fee is not refundable.
- If you are unhappy with the service, please contact us — we want to hear about it and will do our best to make things right through additional support, but refunds are not issued on completed work.
Before work begins: If you cancel a scheduled service before any work has started, you may be eligible for a full refund of any prepayment. Contact us as soon as possible to cancel.
Warranty on our work: While service fees are non-refundable, we stand behind the quality of our work. If the same issue we repaired recurs within 30 days, bring it back and we will re-address it at no additional labor charge. Parts installed during a repair are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
How to Request a Refund or Return
- Contact us at [email protected] or call 541-255-0999 within 14 days of delivery (for products) or before work has started (for services).
- Include your order number or the date of service.
- Briefly describe the reason for your request.
- We’ll respond within 2 business days with next steps.
Do not ship returns back to us without contacting us first — unauthorized returns may not be processed.
How Refunds Are Processed
Once your return is received and inspected, or your refund request is approved, we will process the refund to your original payment method.
- Credit/debit card refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
- If you haven’t received an expected refund after 10 business days, please check with your bank first, then contact us.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received a refund you were expecting:
- Check your bank account again.
- Contact your credit card company — it may take time before the refund is officially posted.
- Contact your bank — there is often some processing time before a refund shows up.
- If you’ve done all of this and still have not received your refund, please contact us at [email protected].
Sale Items
Only regular-priced items are eligible for refund. Sale or clearance items are final sale and cannot be refunded unless they arrive defective or damaged.
